Tracks in Georgetown

I started the track layout in Georgetown and everything looks good.  All of the "New Yard" will be hand laid on PC ties and then buried in cement (plaster) just like the prototype.

This next picture shows the layout of the "Old Yard".  From left to right the tracks will consist of Smoot Sand and Gravel, then a pair of team tracks, a single warehouse track and on the far right a double track to the coal heating plant.  The last track on the right will be the end of the main line.

Between the "New Yard" and "Old Yard" will be a model of the abandon coal fired street car power plant.  This structure will visually devide the two yards in Georgetown.

Removable Bridges

I built the two removable bridges over the weekend.  They are made from 3/4" plywood and 1/8" masonite and are semi permanent.  The only time they would need to be removed would be to do maintenance on the windows.
The lower bridge also carries the bus wires for the layout power across the windows.
