Shelf Construction
One of my pet peeves about double deck railroading was the exposed support systems on the upper deck. When I decided to go multiple deck I devised a plan to hide all support brackets from sight. The way this works by placing the shelf brackets above the shelf. The front of the the shelf board is supported by 10/24" all thread rod. The rear of the shelf board is screwed to the 2x4 that is attached to the wall. In the next few photo's you can see I have achieved my goal and the results are fantastic!
More Construction
Thank you for all your positive comments on the Blog! Helix construction is complete and it turned out great. I hate to hide it away because the kids love to watch the train climb the grade.
