Research For the Model Railroad

My research began with a old ADC map of Washington D.C. that has a surprising amount of detail concerning the rail lines in and around Washington D.C. The map had all of the branch line and sidings at the time it was printed.
From their it was of to the internet where I found the home of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Historical Society. The Society hosts a Yahoo Group and the members are eager to answer your questions on a multitude of B&O related questions. Members have help me acquired track maps, drawings, and blueprints of the branch line as well as contributed a wealth of personal experiences and memories. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone on the group for their help.
After several months of inquires about the branch the society decided to publish a story of the Georgetown Branch in their quarterly magazine "The Sentinel". Much to my surprise the article filled almost the entire volume. It is an exceptional piece and contains numerous photo's and maps. If you wish to purchase a copy they can be found at the B&O Historical Society Company Store along with other B&O related items.
